Definition
- An aggressor is one whose actions fall under any one of the 8 definitions of aggressing, in violation of the Legal Principle.
- Aggressors are not reasonable people; they use force instead of reasoned communication.
- The 3L Philosophy holds people accountable for what they do and not for what others (including ancestors or living relatives) did.
Planning for aggressors
- We should assume the world will always include aggressors, even if the 3L Philosophy was widely adopted, so we must prepare and deal with them appropriately. Police, courts and national defence are indispensable for defending against aggressors – without them, any efforts to build a peaceful and collaborative society risks being in vain. There are two questions: how do we fund and deliver these services.
- Local communities must define the specific consequences of aggressing.
